Festival Fashion 2026: Fits on Fire
By Your Personal Stylist, Michelle “Drip” Walch
Summer frivolity is upon us! Festival goers are likely planning their threads, maximizing their flare to prance around in the mud, sweat, and sunburn for miles with the best of them. Time to pull out all the stops, sticky, dirty conditions be damned.

What are you wearing?
If you are like me, you have been waiting ALL YEAR to wear those fits you’ve been styling, and you are aching to share your drip. Contemporary lewks are about individual style. It is, however, okay to screen scroll for inspo. Here are some trends you can do with what you will:
Indie Sleaze: A throwback to the 2010 trend, which, as this old fogey understands it, is a throwback to the grunge days. Think lived-in denim, worn-out threads, chunky footwear. Silver hardware in the form of rings or pendants top off the look.
Moto Boho: Sturdy boots paired with sheer dusters and micro distressed shorts, layers of artisan necklaces, stacked custom-made silver jewelry, earth-tone colored shirts, and natural fibers. Finish the look with structured denim. Animal jewelry goes perfectly with boho motifs. A raven or wolf ring is a nice touch to highlight nature themes along with ecological awareness. Monkey or koala bear ear cuffs are perfect additions as well.
Dark Academia: Harry Potter comes to mind when I come across this term. It does harken back to old libraries, secret knowledge, and reading the classics such as Frankenstein in a candlelit parlor. Attire includes tweed and plaid clothes, neckties, Oxford shoes. No dark academia ensemble is complete without a ring that communicates your proclivity for all things metaphysical. A Monad ring, Hecate ring, or Lilith coffin ring all hint at your interests.
Nu Goth: Goth never dies! Ironic understatement? Yeah, probably. Skulls, pentagrams, Celtic-themed designs, and, sure, why not, throw in a few demons for good measure. Check out all of those designs here:
Genderless Style: Gender Fluid Fits are fire. It’s freeing. LBTGQTS+ has validated fashion for everyone. Wear what you want; there are no rules.

Metal Hardware
